Ilze Kirsanova is a violinist with the Latvian National Symphony Orchestra, a chamber musician in several ensembles with leading Latvian musicians. Since 2017, she has been a guest musician with the Malta Philharmonic and the Nordic Symphony Orchestra since 2007.
She received her education at the Em. Darzins Special Music School, while also studying in the class of Natalia Fichtenholz in Moscow. She received her master's degree at the Latvian Academy of Music and at the Royal Welsh College of Music and Drama in Cardiff thanks to the prestigious Sir Charles Mackerras Scholarship.
She has participated in many festivals in Germany, France, Austria, and Russia.
In 2017, she created the organization "Musictour" and an ensemble with organist and pianist Janis Karpovics, actively promoting Latvian music abroad.
In 2018, she participated in a UNESCO project
on preserving Syrian culture, performing in Syria, Belgium, and France.
She has been performing with Ekaterina Suvorova since 2007.
