"From Italy with Love" festival presents one of our most beautiful and sought-after ensembles of Europe - multi-award-winning Duo "Con Brio!". In the elegant and prestigious Hungarian House of New York, a velvet expressivity of the cello will be combined with a conquering virtuosity of the piano. Together, they will present a compelling mixture of 2 generations, a clash of temperaments, 2 musical philosophies, which has already sent waves of admiration across many countries of Europe, Asia, and South America.

Debuting in New York, Duo "Con Brio!" brings up an inspirational program that touches the hearts and speaks directly to the soul. You will hear all-time classic - Schubert's Arpeggione, "Oblivion" by Astor Piazzolla, and multiple transcriptions from Italian Operas by Verdi, Bellini, Puccini. The highlight of the evening will be the breathtaking "Tarantella" by David Popper.

The concert will open with a passionate and virtuoso prologue from Michael Bulychev-Okser, American Piano Virtuoso, who will perform Liszt's Hungarian Rhapsody.

ARTISTS

🎹 I Prize winner of 6 international cello competitions in Italy and abroad, Milanese cellist Alessandro Mauriello, has distinguished himself as one of the most talented cellists off his generation. Milanese composer Sandra Conte wrote a piece for solo cello, "Wildes Stuke," dedicated to Alessandro. Alessandro performed in the most prestigious venues across Europe, and in 2017, he was invited to perform a five-concert tour in Mexico.

🎹 Angela Ignacchiti has held numerous piano concerts as a soloist and in chamber music groups throughout Italy, Belgium, France, Romania, the Principality of Monaco and at the International Music Festival in Zumaya in Spain. Her intense concert activity as a pianist and harpsichordist, which has led her to perform successfully in important concert halls such as the Teatro Alfieri in Turin, the “Sommerakademie” in Lilienfeld and the Musikakademie in Altenburg in Austria, then again at the Palazzina Liberty, the Teatro Angelicum, the Teatro alle Erbe for the “Società dei Concerti” and “le Serate Musicali” in Milan, the Teatro Anteo, the “Circolo della Stampa” and the “Società del Giardino” in Milan, the Vivaldi Church in Venice, in major Italian cities and in Le Baux and Paris in France, always receiving widespread acclaim from audiences and critics. She is a tenured piano teacher at the I.C. Arcadia in Milan and a teacher of the harpsichord course at the "Dedalo" School of Music in Novara.

The renowned American virtuoso, hailed by The New York Times as "the New Liszt," the incomparable Michael Bulychev-Okser. Hailed as "...highly Musical..." (New York Times), Michael Bulychev-Okser is an internationally acclaimed American pianist, composer, and producer who has performed at the world’s most prestigious stages, from Carnegie Hall to Salle Pleyel in Paris.
