"Lied und Csárdás" by Franz Lehár is a famous musical piece, often considered a showpiece for violin, that blends the lyrical quality of a romantic song ("Lied") with the passionate energy of a Hungarian Csárdás dance, originally composed for his operetta "The Merry Widow" and widely recognized for its captivating melody and contrasting sections between the soft song-like part and the lively dance rhythm.

Gräfin Mariza: Höre Ich Zigeunerweisen is a beautiful Aria from the Operetta by Emmeri Kalmann, famous for it's temperamental rhythms.
