The song 'Du sollst der Kaiser meiner Seele sein' is part of the operetta 'Der Favorit' (1916) and sung by Manon, the female leading figure of this forgotten piece. This song became well known by performances by great sopranos as Lucia Popp, Elisabeth Schwarzkopf and Renee Flemming.
